Collie Club of Austin AKC Agility Trial in Hutto, TX
NEW AKC AGILITY TITLE FOR BOBBY!!!
What a weekend! Our first AKC Agility Trial--Bobby earned his NAJ (Novice Agility Jumpers) with 3 consecutive qualifying runs and two scores of 100 and one score of 99. In the 24 inch Novice Jumpers class, he took 2 second places and one third place in earning his title. In adddition, Bobby received two legs, two 100 scores, and two first places in Novice Standard Agility.

We were also privileged to see Linda earn Kizzy's 20th Double Qualification in the Excellent B classes, which is a big step towards her MACH. Way to go Linda and Kizzy!!!

NADAC Agility Trial in Hutto, TX sponsered by Travis Agility Group (TAG).
This was Bobby's first agility trial, and he received his Novice Agility Certificate (NAC) with 3 qualifying runs and 3 first places in the Novice 24 inch class!!! WOW...what fun. Way to go Bobby!!

NEW TITLE... Our Bobby von stillen Rain earned his RALLY NOVICE (RN) title at the West Houston Obedience Club trial with a 1ST PLACE AND A SCORE OF 99. He won over 25 other dogs in the class. Good boy, Bobby!!

Our Desta von Stroman earned her first Utility leg with a 1st place at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Houston show. We are proud of her work. She was the only Utility A dog to qualify the entire weekend at this all-breed show!

Our new girl, V Betty Billberg, SchH3, KKL1-lbz, earned her lifetime KKL1 Breed Survey in Germany with a convincing showing on the Schutzhund field. Betty will be bred soon in Germany and will come to Texas to whelp. Check back soon for further developments.

APRIL 16-17, 2005
Busy month!! Our Bobby and Dashel each earned two Novice B Rally legs at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Austin speciality show at Triple Crown Dog Academy in Hutto, Texas. Bobby received High In Trial in Rally on Sunday earning a 100 point score. There were two dogs earning this score, but Bobby had the fastest run. There were 40+ dogs competing in Rally on Sunday! APRIL 9, 2005
Bobby earned his Herding Instinct Certification (HIC) today and had a blast. The HIC requires qualifying twice under two different AKC judges. Click Here to go to Bobby's page where there's a picture of him having fun with the sheep.

Congratulations to Tom and Crash. Crash went to B match this weekend in Conroe. First time in the ring and Crash got both his CGC and a 196 in pre-novice! Tom tells us that everyone commented on how beautiful and well behaved Crash is. Way to go. Watch for this pair in the obedience ring.

Once again, a big Congratulations to Linda for Kizzy for making the TOP TEN in German Shepherds in AKC Agility. Kizzy is ranked 8th.

JANUARY 2005
She's HOT...The first weekend of 2005, Kizzy von Stroman earned additional points in Agility at the Amarillo show taking her to 369 points towards her MACH. She also has 14 DQs after competing for only 15 months including 9 months in Excellent B. Kizzy went from Novice to MX, MXJ in about 7 months.

Kizzy also got her CGC with very little training in April 2004.

Kiz will be competing in Agility and Obedience at the 2005 German Shepherd Dog Club of America Nationals. You go girls!!

WOW!! Tidmore's Rising Star Daisy earned her first AKC leg in Novice B at the all-breed Texas Tricity Obedience Show with a very nice performance. Daisy is a Dashel x Scarlet daughter, and she is only 17 months old!! Congratulations to Cynthia and Daisy.

GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB OF AUSTIN--our DESTA earned her 1st Open leg. It was her first time in the AKC Open ring, and she did great in the pouring rain with a 191, first place in Open and a High in Trial. Good girl, Desta!! One down and two more legs to go! Watch for Desta at the all breed shows.

MARCH 2004
Congratulations to V-BOBBY VOM STILLEN RAIN, SCHH1, KKL1. Bobby earned a V-4 and his KKL1 at the South Central Regional Conformation Show and Breed Survey hosted by Texas Working Dogs. He showed under SV Judge Hans-Jurgen Begier. Way to go Bobby who is now available at stud.

FEBRUARY 2004
We all traveled to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Working Dogs Club where Bobby earned his AD. The AD requires the dog to run about 12.5 miles while the handler bicycles at his side. There are two breaks where the judge examines the dog's condition and pads to make sure he is doing OK. After the run, the dog has to do some obedience. Bobby and I have been getting in shape for this run over the past few months. It was a very fun experience. We were proud to show under the great SV Judge Dieter Schmale.

DECEMBER 2003
At not even two years of age, Bobby earned his SchH1(96-72-82P). We are very proud of our young dog and will continue training him for his other SchH titles and breed survey.

NOVEMBER 2003
Our BOBBY VOM STILLEN RAIN was SG1 at the 2003 USA South Central Regional Conformation Show held by Greater Dallas Working Dogs. What an accomplishment!! Yaro --Dion von Stroman-- passed his tracking title today with flying colors! He stayed right on the track, hitting every turn on the turn! Revel and Dion are hoping to continue tracking for the TDX. So Yaro is now U-CDX Dion von Stroman, CDX, AXJ, TD. Way to go Revel and Yaro! We are truly proud of you both.

OCTOBER 2003
Another congratulations to Kizzy von Stroman and Linda who are doing fabulous in agility. They had a wonderful weekend in Lubbock Q'd 6/6 runs, with 4-100's and 2-95's. She picked up 3-Firsts, 1-Second and 2-Thirds. In Denver Kizzy Q'd 5/6 runs with 4 Seconds and 1 First. Picking up her Novice Agility title in her first 3 times out. She started out with 3 straight scores of 100 and then 2 scores of 95. WOW...we are very excited about Kizzy's work.

AUGUST 2003
Congratulations to Linda and "Kizzy" von Stroman (Camey x Sirk daughter) who made her debut in agility. This was a "fun day" where the dogs got a chance to practice before they hit the big time. Kizzy was amazing under Linda's direction. We were impressed with everything, especially her weave poles. Kiz will show for real this fall, and we look for great things from this girl. She is special.

THEY'RE HERE!!! A big congratulations to Cynthia Tidmore and Scarlet. Scarlet whelped 9 puppies after being bred to our Dashel von Stroman. This is a great litter for agility, AKC obedience and family companionship. Dashel and Scarlet are both excellent obedience dogs with intelligence and willingness. Pregnancy confirmed!! Congratulations to Tidmore's Rising Star Scarlet, CDX, NA, a beautiful bitch from Oklahoma owned by Cynthia Tidmore. Scarlet will have puppies by our Dashel through a natural breeding. The litter is due around June 20th. After puppies, Cynthia will continue working on Scarlet's UD. Congratulations to Dion von Stroman, CDX, AXJ and his trainer, Revel.
Dion is a littermate to our Desta and Dashel. Dion (Yaro) has been very impressive in the obedience ring. He has placed everytime he's been in the ring in all-breed shows. He hopes to get his Utility title by the end of the year. Yaro is also doing an obedience demo for a local T.V. station next week. He lives in Bernville, PA. Photos of Yaro coming soon!

Camey von Stroman, SchH3, CD passed away on December 29, 2002. I loved every day I spent with her and miss her terribly. She came from our breeding of Hasso and Quicki, and she was a true combination of the best of both.

More news for November...what a month!!! A week after earning an extra CD leg in Georgia, Camey traveled back to Texas and earned her SchH1 under SV Judge Hermann Shaemann. She was High Scoring SchH1 with a "V" score in tracking and pronounced in her protection work. We were very proud of her.

Our 11 year old Hasso was honored in the Parade of Great Dogs. It was a very moving ceremony, and we were thrilled to be in attendance. What a wonderful tribute to the temperament and working ability of this truly great representative of the German Shepherd breed. And he has passed on these good genetics to his daughter, Camey. Hasso earns the WH title on November 21, 1999 at Lone Star Schutzhund Club under USA Judge Mike Hamilton.

Hasso vom Zwarthaus, SchH3 appeared in Pina Bausch's Nelken at The University of Texas Perfoming Arts Center. Nelken is a highly acclaimed dance theatre piece.
