We all know one way to increase power is to reduce drag. For this reason, HRS Products pursued an improvement for the 2-lip rubber crank seals Zenoah/Sikk/Superior use. New engines pick up several hundred RPM after a gallon or two of gas has gone through it (breaking in period). Quite a bit of the “breaking-in” process is the rubber seal lips loosening their strangle hold on the crankshaft!!
Extensive testing has shown gains of 0.2 HP and 200-300 usable RPM's.
The best thing about these seals is you reduce drag at ALL RPM ranges! There are very few modifications possible to a 2-cycle engine that give you an increase in torque and power output across the entire RPM range.
This results not only in more top speed, but also better acceleration, especially in the powerband.
