My Telephone Collection

About 20 years ago, while I was in High School, I developed an interest in Candlestick telephones. I guess I watched one too many episodes of the Untouchables.

My parents bought me one of the plastic versions sold in the mid-seventies. It was another ten years before I had a real, honest-to-goodness Western Electric dial candlestick. After restoring it, I was hooked.

Over the years, I have acquired more phones. I particularly like Western Electric phones. I don't want anything that will just sit on a shelf, and that is the beauty of old telephones. They can work as well today as they did 100 years ago. All of mine work, and will plug into a standard wall jack.

Here is a pictorial listing of all of the phones in my collection.
