Check the guitarnuts website. Some really good pointers on shielding a Strat & Tele. It helps keep the noise level down.

I forgot to mention Schaller. Planet Waves (I think they are really D'Addario) has recently come out with some locking tuners. They are expensive - don't really need them unless you've got a tremolo bar.
