Hi Robin - thanks for the advise. I will try this. BTW: Do you have any idea what might be causing the wood seam surface to rise slightly and appear as a line?
Best regards, John P.

: : Hi All, this is my 1st restore and I'm having a problem with the 3 piece maple top on my les paul. Top was sanded to bare wood, and grain filler, S&S, and even Bins applied before gold top spray. No matter, the 2 wood seams re-appear as a raised line. I sanded down twice and are-applied bins but after a week of spraying the gold top, the seams show up. Would like to know if anyone else had this problem??? Thanks - JP

: BILL SAYS... "Use your Gold Top spray as a filler. Spray a line down each seam and let it dry. Repeat this process. Sand lightly with a block and 800 dry. Shoot three light coats of Gold Top Spray over the WHOLE top and let dry overnight. Then shoot a light coat of clear to lock it in. "
