Dixon Cemetery is located near the south end of FM 1970 south of US 84. From the intersection of US 59 South and US 84 West on the south side of Timpson, go west on US 84 for 1.8 miles to the second intersection with FM 1970. Turn left (south) on FM 1970. Go 2.1 miles to the end of FM 1970.  Turn to your left on County Road 4759 (Please note that there is not a County Road sign at the intersection at this time.  There is a small sign for Dixon in the weeds).  Follow this road, taking the right hand fork, 0.5 miles.  Turn right onto a private road.  Follow the private road 0.2 miles to the cemetery.  GPS location N 31 degrees 53.506 minutes W94 degrees 27.976 minutes

 

Rows are indicated, but remember rows are in the eye of the beholder.  Recording was started at the front right corner, going from right to left and front to back.

 

Notes:

1.      There are two markers for Emily Bearden, one is a combined stone with her husband.  Her date of death is not the same on the two stones.

2.      The date of death for Vida Bonita Francis is before her date of birth.
