Hints

  1. The Riddle Room: Aren't riddles a pain? This one should make you thirsty (think about that for awhile).
  2. The Red Sphere: You can't do this one by yourself, so bring along some help. Keep in mind that just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it's out of visual range.
  3. The Dragon: You can't do anything with him where you find him. Now, if you could just get him to follow you...
  4. The Balloon: Balloons are filled with hot air. Seen anything flammable around lately?
  5. The Bank: Yes, this is certainly a tricky one! The key is the curtain of light. Pay close attention to its description, as well as the piece of paper on the floor. Also keep in mind that things are not always what they seem to be here, either.
  6. The Menhir: Ah, if only you had magical powers, you might be able to do something about this!
  7. The Oddly-Angled Room: First, remember that this room is oddly angled. Second, what does the club look like to you? Third, read the name on the club carefully. That should give you some ideas. Fourth, what's on the floors? Think about all that and you should be able to figure out what to do here.
  8. The Demon: A very greedy character... but he will help you, if you know what you want (hint: remember the Menhir)!

The wizard may appear once in awhile and cast a spell on you. Don't worry. The spell will wear off after awhile. If you can't do anything else, just wait it out. It would be wise to save the game periodically, as a precaution in case you make a mistake.

Take all. Go south three times, southwest, and then south. Light lamp. Go southeast. Enter gazebo, Take teapot, exit. Go north and then northeast, and fill teapot. Go south, southeast, south twice, and west.

You are now in the carousel room. Because of its rapid spinning, you are disoriented. You are trying to get to the riddle room which lies to the southeast, but you might end up somewhere else. Just make your way back to the carousel room and keep trying until you get there. When you get to the riddle room, you will need to solve the riddle before you can get to the pear room. Just say a well, which is the answer to the riddle.

Go east, take pearls, go east again, get into bucket, pour water, get out, go east, take red, blue, and green cakes, eat green cake. Go east, throw red cake into pool, take candy. Go west, eat blue cake. Go northwest.

Instructions for operating the robot:

Tell robot Go east
Then go east yourself
Tell robot Push triangle
Tell robot Go south
Then go south and Take sphere
Tell robot Lift cage
Then take sphere and go northwest

In the low room, your compass will be quite unreliable, so just do what you did in the carousel room, except this time you're trying to get southeast to the tea room.

Go west, get into bucket, fill teapot, get out, drop teapot. Go west twice, and northwest. Open box, take violin. Go east, and north twice. Enter gazebo, drop all but lamp and sword, take mat and opener, exit. Go south twice, west, and north. Take brick, north twice, and up. Put mat under door, open lid, put opener in hole, take mat, take key, take opener, unlock door with key, open door. Go north, take sphere. Go south, Down, south three times, east, and north twice. Enter gazebo, drop all but lamp, sword, and brick, take newspaper and matches, exit. Go south twice, west, and southwest. Take string. Go north, Down, east, and north twice, attack dragon. Go south, attack dragon, go south, attack dragon. Go west twice, and take ruby. Go south, get into basket, open receptacle, put paper in receptacle, light match, light paper with match, wait twice. Go west, tie wire to hook, get out, take coin, go south, open purple book, take stamp. Go north, get into basket, untie wire, wait four times, go west. Tie wire to hook, and get out. Go south, put string on brick, put brick in hole, light match, light string with match. Go north then south, take crown, and go north. Get into basket, untie wire, close receptacle, wait. Keep waiting until the basket reaches the volcano bottom.

Get out, and go north, east twice, southeast, east, north twice. Enter gazebo, drop all but lamp, exit. Go south, west, southwest, north three times, west, and north twice. Take chest, kiss princess. Go south three times, southeast, east, and north twice. Enter gazebo, wait. Keep waiting until the princess gives you the gold key from the unicorn.

Open chest, again, take dragon, drop chest and rose, take candy, red sphere, blue sphere, and pearls, exit. Go south twice, west, south twice, Down, and south. Take club, and go southeast, northeast, northwest, southwest, south, Up, north twice, southwest twice, and feed lizard candy, unlock door with gold key, open door. Go south and west. Drop all but lamp. Go east, north twice, northeast, north three times, west, north, west twice, northeast, east, and south. Take portrait. Go north, and enter light, enter south wall, enter light, take bills, kill. Go west three times. Take lamp, and go south three times, southwest, south, southeast, and enter gazebo, take violin, ruby, coin, stamp, and crown, exit. Go south twice, west, southwest twice, south, and west. Drop all but lamp, take club. Go west, throw club at glass, take white sphere, and go east. Put white sphere on diamond stand, put red sphere on ruby stand, put blue sphere on sapphire stand, take black sphere. Go south, put sphere in circle. Go north, take ruby, coin, stamp, and violin. Go south, give all but lamp to demon. Go north, take all. Go south, give all but lamp to demon.

Now, tell demon give me wand. Guess what? Take wand, and go north, east, north twice, northeast, and south. Point wand at Menhir. Now, say float. Feels great doesn't it? Go southwest, take collar. Go northeast, south, and Down twice. Put collar on dog. Go east. Open door. Go south, turn off lamp, open secret door, and go south. Congratulations! You have solved Zork II with a little help. Onward to Zork III, the dungeon master!
