President's LetterHello Everyone!
Many thanks to Kim & Alan Young for a wonderful "Hawaiian" meeting at their home last month!!! The food and atmosphere were delicious and delightful! Several folks shared their experiences with different types of food to feed their fish We all have our favorites and preferences. It was interesting and helpful.
We also had a lengthy discussion about the upcoming FOTAS celebration. Thanks to the Hazelwood family for volunteering to paint all the show tanks! It is quite a task to undertake and quite worthwhile for all of the show fish! (Not to mention the fact that we won't have to use all that black plastic on the stands.)
Looks like we will have a large turnout, we have already received several early registrations from folks outside of Texas. I would love to see this be the biggest FOTAS event yet! We do need extra help, so please don't be shy, you can certainly help make this great.
The March meeting is Saturday, the
16th at Randy Rhoades' home in Burleson. We will have a video to watch: “Collection and Propagation of Cichlids from Costa Rica”. We will also finish up the last few details regarding FOTAS (including volunteer sign-up sheets). The calendar for the rest of the year is pretty full, thanks to great planning efforts by Kathy England. Be sure to check out the calendar in this issue so you don't miss anything!
See y'all at Randy's!
Kathy
