I have ment to ask you if you noticted an acounnt for S.A. Widrig or Marion V. Widrig (may be Sylvester's second wife) GDN or by Helen Rensh------ this Helen Rensh has to mean Helen Renish which is a relative to my family . I think this document shows what I asaid to Paul Widrig is that my grndmother Erma Katherine (Davis ) Renish was very close to her Widrig"s reatives that livied in L.A. I cant remember were helen falls in and that bothers me somewhat. You have to see the only leter mising is an( i ) .I have seen people try to do that very thing thoughout my own lifetime. Let me know what you think. Id love Paul to see this but see he was a little younger then then that part of the family and thats why i only got so much out of him. He was wonderfull in his stories of my family. Maybe he remembers Helen . See I had a number of Aunt Helens on I always though moms side but whos to say their was not one on dads side. It just seams right ,have to ask my older Sister Renita.

More on the Pasadena Widrigs. For some reason they (LA Main Library) could not find the film on Sylvester A Widrig (1846). I had to go down to the sub sub basement. It's an adventure, and you need to remember to leave the bread crumbs and to trace your way back (if the cockroaches don't get them in the meantime).
The record was not for probate; it was for guardianship. There were a bunch of folders, some of which seemed to have meaning and some of which didn't seem important. The record number is #92627. The title is Guardianship and Estate of Widrig Incompetent filed in 1929. The Guardianship was granted to Marion on 11 Jan 1928. There was a paper dated 9 Dec 1929 (4 months after Marion's death) stating: "This guardianship proceeding of Sylvester A Widrig was by order of the court duly made rendered and given on said date restored to mental capacity."
There was a statement of account with Citizens Savings Bank - Pasadena

I didn't find a lot on either one of them, but there are links to other people and other places, especially Michigan and Ohio. Rich, I will entrust you to forward this to the proper Widrig researchers. For some reason I don't have the e-mail addresses in here any longer for Chris and most of the others. That Herbert Oliver sort of rings a bell. (He's Sylvester's fathers brother's son.) I wonder if that isn't part of Paul's clan. (One of Paul's father's brothers.) I don't have the paperwork in front of me, and I have not been able to work with the Genealogy software since I moved the computer. Maybe we need a section of the Web page for people we are trying to put in the puzzle. Sure looking forward to the 1930 census in a few years.
I know that my grandparents lived in the bay area, presumably San Francisco, and I did a bit of a search in the city directories of 1908 -1914 and 1919 with no hits. Still don't know who all of Harry Norton's siblings were.

This completes the research at the courthouse. I have no idea what the last columns indicate except I think the last column is the case number. There are some names I recognize and some I don't. If I can get at the names on the page I will have a better idea of whether I am coming up with new Widrigs. (From the looks of the above relating to my own matters, it looks like these records contain liens filed on assets- 2nd Trust Deeds for example- and lawsuits.)
