DCMA Employees have
Elected AFGE as their Union

On February 11, 2004, the FLRA completed the tally of DCMA bargaining unit employee election ballots and by an overwhelming majority (61% vs. <15%), DCMA employees have now chosen AFGE as their Union.  In addition to this, the Professional bargaining unit employees by an overwhelming majority have decided to join with the Non-Professional employees in forming one consolidated Professional and Non-Professional bargaining unit. The loosing union's and the "no union" choice each received less than 15% of the overall total valid votes cast.

Per FLRA regulations, the loosing unions will have five days from the announcement of the winning union to file an opposition to the outcome of this election.  After that the FLRA will issue a certification for the DCMA (agency) wide consolidated Professional/Non-Professional bargaining unit with AFGE recognized as the exclusive representative.
