Parker County

Population forecast figures are available from the Office of the Comptroller in Austin. Parker County is expected to see a dramatic rise in population through the forecast period which extends to 2030. Much of the growth is expected on the east side of the county as Fort Worth encroaches on traditionally rural areas of Parker County.

Aledo

Population figures for Aledo are estimated from previous census figures and current active water accounts.  According to the 2000 census figure, Aledo is now home to 1726 friendly people. This represents a 47% increase since 1990. While the community is still small by any measure, the percentage growth is staggering in its impact on infrastructure. Water and wastewater utilities, primary and secondary traffic arteries, school facilities, housing and business development have all been aimed at a quiet agrarian settlement. This sudden growth brings important challenges to the public sector.
