I use to think my life was planned.

That I would graduate from The College

Get married after graduation

That I could love only one,

But it wasn’t.

Funny how you think ahead

The tables turn

Bringing your life into new directions

Some are bad

Some are good

Some are there to stay.

Experiences that define

What you are

Who you are

Where you are

And how you try to be

I come to realize that change never ends

The wheels keep turning

Bringing on more and more

Of whatever comes my way

It is also funny

How I handle things

Sometimes I know how

Sometimes it just happens

Sometimes it just takes care of itself

I would have never thought

I would be this way

Or could be this way

Today.

I would have never dreamt

The path I have taken
