Hello there!  Welcome to my Living Room....the only place in our home that is OFF LIMITS to legos, barbies and hot wheels cars.  For me, it's a haven of peace and quiet, free from the unending refrains of "Mommy!!". 

Anyhow, I digress.  Welcome to my home.  I take it you've already visited the other rooms, and are just bursting with curiosity to find out about the lady engineer who built this cyber house.   I'm very glad that you found me . . . and I hope that you'll stick around long enough to get to know just a little bit more about me and my life.

I am a SAHM, with four beautiful children, and they keep me quite busy.   I am also a civil engineer in private practice.  I have my own firm, Pereira Engineering  and do consulting work in my spare (ha!) time.   It's not glamorous work, but it is necessary.  Heck - that's the one good thing about being a civil engineer;  technological trends come and go, but civilization will always need clean water and toilets!!

I was an Air Force Brat, and traveled extensively as a child.  This has given me an open outlook on life, and a great sense of adventure.  I love to try new things, especially crafts, and I still love to travel whenever I get a chance.  Of course, going anywhere, even the library, with four children in tow is an adventure.

The best - and fastest - way to really get to know me is by discovering the things that I like to do.  The highlighted words will take you to my link pages for those topics. Well, here goes . . .I love Gardening, quilting, sewing, knitting, ceramics and COOKING!!.  I'm an avid reader, and will read anything in print.  I love crime novels, biographies, and I even indulge in the occasional romance novel.
