Lycoming IO 540, 260 HP. 300 SMOH, 300 Since New Prop and governor. TT approximately 1,100 hours.
Stock engine, not modified for higher performance. Better reliability, and easier to maintain.
Hoffman 3-blade propellor, uprated to -A configuration. This provides for decreasing RPM in the event of loss of oil pressure, rather than original prop which went to increasing RPM with loss of oil pressure. -A is final configuration used for LS and LX models.
Single seat aerobatic airplane, designed for unlimited aerobatic flight, +9, -6 gees. Regular winner in Advanced category. Qualified for US Advanced Aerobatic team 4 times, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005
Very well maintained, all logs since new. Aircraft was imported in 1996 from England, and was certificated in standard category - Aerobatic in England prior to that. All SB's and AD's complied with.
Complete with removable tip tanks for good ferry range (3+ hours), Becker Comm radio. No transponder. Aircraft certificated in Experimental - Exhibition category with unlimited proficiency area and FAA noted waiver to operate under Class B without transponder.
