The great monument of Voladores de Papantla - City of Papntla in Vera Cruz

The pole is about 100 meter; Each papntla rotates 13 times (52 rotations all together) until it hits the ground; this represents the Totanac Calender. The fifth man is the prayer giver, playing a flute and keeping the rhythm on a drum at the top of the pole.... Want to try it?  They say by 2010 the Papantlas will be WIRELESS!!!

Out side El Tajin - about 20 minutes from Papantla;

Out side El Tajin  -  Traditional Aztec Dance

El Tajin is the ruins of an extensive city that dates back to AD 100! The big pyramid is called Pyramid of the Niches. It has 356 square holes, one for each of the solar year. Is it not amazing?

Venders standing and selling fruits in plastic bags... when it is hot it is really a good idea to try them!

We also visited Catemaco in Vera Cruz. From there you can visit Nanciyaga

La Laguna de Catemaco - It is soooo beautiful .... The water in the lake is amazingly always warm!

You can take La Lancha and visit your ancestors in Isla de los changos....I visited mine!

While visiting La Laguna de Catemaco let them try la jarro on your body. This is how you end of looking...

If you feel your soul has been captures by the evil, for 100 pesos you can ask the Chaman to give you a spiritual cleaning (Limpieza) in the Baņo de Temazcal

The amphitheater in Nanciyaga....Many of great performers have been there....

The famous replica in Nanciyaga. It says "come to me and dame un besito mi amor..... "

Statue of jarochos dancing to Marimba music in every plaza all over Vera Cruz....

Although not much is going on in the town, if you are around, stop by Tlacotalpan... the colorful houses and building are fascinating... Discretely pick into open windows. Notice that all houses have the same exact furniture.....

Night life in Tlacotalpan. The main plaza is really beautiful. After 11:00 pm, it is full of teenagers hanging out and having fun

We also sneaked into a church to see the ceremony for "La fiesta de quince aņos." This is when the girl reaches 15. It is fun to watch....

The largest game room in Tlacotalpan....

The laundry room in Tlacotalpan...
