Rethinking Globalization Conference was the first radical community education organized by students at UTD
This conference could not have been a success without the help and dedication of many of our friends and students

The keynote speaker of the conference was Dr. Kevin Danaher the director of Public Education for Global Exchange
About 300 people participated the opening night of the conference

Reverend Holsey Hickman sketching the scope of his concerns including institutionalized racism and violence based on the writings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Jeff Robinson, a member of UAW and a long time activists, expressing his opinion about the right to organize
The conference attracted many activists from many different organizations
"Get Up, Stand Up-Sit Down, Lock Down" workshop teaching students about civil disobedience by examining the issues of nonviolence, affinity groups, legal ramifications, jail solidarity, and practical strategies
