you're in GATES country!!

…….is the name of the newsletter we publish for the descendants of the William Silas Gates family, and also a book I wrote detailing the ancestry of this family. If you are a descendent of William Silas and Margaret Helen Jaco Gates, and you are not on our mailing or e-mail list, please contact us.

 

 This group has been gathering for a reunion ever since 1964, with family members traveling from all over the US to join together in fellowship. In even numbered years, we meet at Camp Tejas outside Giddings, Texas. In the odd numbered years we are challenged to search out other suitable camp locations.  

 

For those who have a genealogy program which reads GEDCOM files, you can e-mail me for a copy of all the information that I have on the descendants of our earliest known ancestor Charles Gates, born 1738.

 

Other family lines of interest to the Gates's are JACO, KNICK, WELCHANCE and FORE/FAURE. I plan to include information on these lines later on.
