SIGHTS AND SOUNDS
OF THE SHOW
1997

I have been aproched by several people about the video that I made at the 1997 ATHS Truck Show and Convention. Most of them have inquired about purchasing a copy of it. I am going to offer it for sell for $20.00 including shiping and handling. And see how it goes, if I can get over a hunderd orders I will be able to do this with out much trouble.

I was able to get to Greensboro N.C. Monday morning about nine am and help the host chapter with some of the preperations, and met the people as they brought their trucks in. This enabled me to get some things on tape that even the people that got to the show on Friday did not get to see. Like the AB Mack that DALEY & WANZER brought in loaded with furniture, backed in a moving van. They took the AB Mack into town to deliver the load of fruniture before the show. That sure was a treat to see the old truck actualy working.

This is not a commerical made tape I made it myself as I was standing just before the registration area at the show. Where I was taking still pictures. It is uncut (you can hear me talking to people as they walk by) and several people walk between the camera and the trucks. But for somebody that didn't get to attend the show it will give them a chance to hear some of the old trucks run. I did not have a lot of battery capacity so I was only able to get about oue hour of tape each day. (Many thanks to the people that took the battery at night and charged it for me.) There is a total of just over three and a half hours on this tape. Starting with the unloading of trucks, showing some of them being driven to registration. I was able to get some video of the old AUTOCAR # ONE. Which was brought down from the Smithsonian Instute and Museum in Washington D.C. and displayed in a small museum in the lobby of the building. And some of the trucks sitting if the field during the show. Then some of them as they were being loaded Saturday night as a lot of the trucks were loading up for the trip home.

These trucks along with many others shown on this web page are featured on the Video.
