Fan Zongliang's style is chiefly zhuan shu (seal script) combined with elements of jin wen (bronze engraving) and jia guwen (oracle bone script). It also shows a pronounced cursive quality rather than the stiffer style that is usually seen with seal script calligraphy. He is a native of Hanjiang, Fujian Province, and was born in 1940. He is now a member of Chinese Fujian Artists' Association. His calligraphy has been collected in the International JiaGuwen Zhuanwen Dictionary. Back |
