Text of Bai Juyi's poem 清明夜*:

好風朧月清明夜,碧砌紅軒刺史家。
獨繞迴廊行復歇,遙聽弦管暗看花。

Translation of poem:

Good wind, hazy moon, Chingming night; Jasper brickwork, red studio, district magistrate’s house
Circling the veranda alone, coming back to rest; hearing distant strings and woodwinds, viewing flowers in the dark.

*Chingming Festival: 105 days after previous year's winter solstice—typically April 4 or 5.
