Levi Perryman's book "Thrilling Indian Raids into Cooke and Montague Counties" contains eyewitness accounts of various raids and related incidents during the 1860's and 1870's. As a bonus, he includes the story of the legal execution of Charlie Harris in 1879. This book, published in 1919 (old enough to be in the public domain), was scanned and OCR'd to enable its access by Montague and Cooke County historians and genealogists.
