Geneva Lee (Neva, Mom, Mama Shoe, Neenaw, Gran-mommy) Shoemaker, 81, passed away February 24th, 2006. Geneva was a devoted wife and loving mother and will be greatly missed. In the midst of our mourning we believe Heaven rejoices her homecoming.
Geneva served God faithfully through joy and suffering and was truly an example of Christ. Well done thou good and faithful servant!! She was a member of Braeburn Valley Baptist Church.
Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Pugh, her mother, Elsie Pugh and her brother, Bill Pugh. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Fred Shoemaker; her two daughters, Terry Gaidusek and Kelly Shoemaker; her two sons, Bill Shoemaker, Rod Shoemaker & his wife Susie; grandchildren: Cynthia Harmon & her husband Tony, Michael Gaidusek, Billy Shoemaker, Robbie Shoemaker & his wife Dollie, Paige Krajca & and her husband Sid, Michelle Mata & her husband Manuel, Jennifer Shoemaker, and Sam Shoemaker; great-grandchildren: Ashley Harmon, Nathan Holden, Alexandria Harmon, Cole Krajca, Sidney Krajca, Alexandria Krajca, Cecil Krajca, Natalie Shoemaker, Kellissa Shoemaker, Ashley Mata, Janae Mata, Anthony Mata; nephews & nieces: Mike Tannery & his wife Candy, Bonnie Welsh, Chuck Pugh & his wife Leigh Ann, Thad Pugh & and his wife Cheryl, Polly Realpozo & her husband Juan Carlos. We also want to recognize all her unnamed relatives, friends and devoted caretakers who invested their love towards Geneva. We want to make special mention regarding Geneva's beloved church family who meant so very much to her ... you embraced Geneva and she knew she was loved.
A Funeral Service was held at her church, Braeburn Valley Baptist Church, located 7711 South Braeswood in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, February 28th, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Paster Dupree officiating. A private burial took place at the Houston National Cemetery.
