Jack Gerald Clark, Sr., age 79, went to join his Savior on Thursday, October 12th, 2006, from his residence. He was born February 2nd, 1927 in Houston, Texas to James Clark and Marguerite Saunders, both now deceased. His daughter Paula Jones also preceded him in death.
Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942 at the age of 15 where he served our country for 3 years and 8 months. He served in World War II and received several medals. Jack was both a signalman and a frogman, and one of his tours of duty included serving on the USS Texas. After leaving the service he moved to Houston where he was certified to sell insurance and became involved in selling stocks.
On June 27, 1983 Jack was married to Norma Jo Snedecor, they resided in Houston near Katy, Texas. In 1991 Jack became a Certified Financial Planner. He was instrumental in setting up many Doctors in their practice. Jack was the first to form an investment group of Continental Airline pilots. They were responsible for the Flower Mound Subdivision and others in the Dallas area, as well as many other ventures. Jack loved to work. He also loved fishing and working with wood. Jack especially enjoyed being with his family.
Jack was a man who loved Christ dearly and was willing to tell anyone about his testimony. He was a loving husband and father. Jack was a great man with both integrity and honesty. His advisory skills were beyond compare.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Norma; 8 children: Jack Clark Jr., David Clark (wife Patricia), Sandy Yockey (husband Bill), Pam Monday, Wayne Snedecor (wife Bonnie), Donald Snedecor, Lydia Adams (husband Larry) and Tina Lykins (husband Duke). Jack has 15 grandkids: Jack G. Clark III, Alexander Clark, William Bundrock (wife Stephanie), Jeffrey Bundrock, Christopher Smith, Aubrey Smith, David Smith, Todd Yockey, Tammy Ceasear, Rhonda Tisko (husband Todd), Crystal Scott (husband Bryan), Vanessa Blakely (husband David), Matthew Snedecor, Ryan Lykins and Luree Lykins. He also was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren: Branson, Maegan, Britton, Maria, Anthony, Shelby and Evelyn.
Funeral Services with Pastor Joey Hamby officiating were held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, October 16th, 2006, in the VA Chapel at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail.
Jack will be deeply missed but always remembered.
