James Willie Summerlin, 95, passed away in Houston, Texas on Thursday, September 14th, 2006. He was born on April 21st, 1911 in Opp, Alabama to Minnie and Willie Summerlin. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Summerlin, son James Summerlin, daughter Barbara Summerlin, daughter Virginia Summerlin, and both parents. He is survived by his daughter Winnie Williams & husband Richard, daughter Minnie Love & husband Leonard, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. Interment will be in a family plot at a cemetery in Opp, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast by making your check or money order payable to: "The Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast" and mailing it to 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida 33760. (On the memo line of the check write "In Memory of Jack Summerlin". Include a note letting them know the name and address of who you would like to be notified that a contribution has been made.)
