Oscar Leiva Garcia, 59, passed away in Houston, Texas on December 30th, 2005. Oscar was born in Magnolia, Texas on October 15th, 1946 to his father and mother, Sixto and Narcissa Garcia. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and in 1966 received an Honorable Discharge. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents Sixto and Narcissa Garcia; a sister Hortense G. Monjaras; 4 brothers Alfredo L. Garcia, Danny L. Garcia, Phillip L. Garcia, and Raymon L. Garcia; sister-in-law Bonnie R. Garcia; brother-in-law Julio H. Monjaras; and great-nephew Nico Monjaras. Oscar is survived by 1 brother Sixto L. Garcia; 4 sisters Ophelia Romero, Ruth Silva, Lydia Ramirez, and Mary Navarro; as well as other relatives and friends. Funeral Service were held on Monday, January 9th, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. in the Chapel at the Houston National Cemetery. Pastor Michael Allard from Greens Bayou Assembly of God Church will be officiating at the service. Oscar will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
