Percy 'Doc' Cole Dockham, 91, passed away in The Woodlands, Texas on Thursday, May 4th, 2006. Doc was born on August 24th, 1914 in Natoma, Kansas to Clarice Ethel Lamon and Roscoe Cole Dockham.
He enlisted in the U.S Army in Cheyenne, Wyoming and served during World War II. Doc attained the rank of Sergeant before receiving an Honorable Discharge for his service. He loved his family and all things western.
Doc was preceded in death by his wife Millie Dockham; brothers Orrin, Billy & Roscoe Dockham; and sister Winnie Drollinger.
He is survived by his daughter Vickie Dockham Cambron of Spring, Texas; step-daughters Velda Warren of Reno, Nevada and Vonda Novelly of Reno, Nevada; sister Wyoma Gilstrap of Cascade Locks, Oregon; 4 grandchildren: Michael Cambron & wife Elizabeth of Spring, Texas, Tobias Cambron of Spring, Texas, Amanda Cambron of Conroe, Texas, and Sarah Cambron of Conroe, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services with Military Honors rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail were held 12:30 P.M. on Monday, May 15th, 2006 at the Houston National Cemetery Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Billy & Eileen Dockham Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2120, Jackson, Wyoming 83001.
Doc will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
