Robert "Bob" Allen Cummins, 61, passed away on Thursday, March 16th, 2006 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas after a courageous battle with Agent Orange. Bob served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam during 1967 and 1968. He received many awards and medals in recognition of his service before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1968.
Bob was born on December 30th, 1944 in Nasawadox, Virginia to James Cummins and Lorene Dancer Cummins who both preceded him in death. Bob will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. He will also be remembered for his humor, love of life, love of music, and his enjoyment of salt water fishing.
Bob is survived by his loving and cherished wife of 34 years Sarita Cummins of Sugar Land, Texas; 2 sons: Todd C. Cummins of Katy, Texas and Ryan M. Cummins of Sugar Land, Texas; 3 brothers: Ronald Cummins & wife Joan of Longview, Texas, Joe Cummins & wife Melanie of Mobile, Alabama, and Fred Cummins & wife Sally of Jones Creek, Texas; numerous nieces & nephews that he loved very much; along with many other loving family members and friends who were a large part of his life.
Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Houston National Cemetery with Pastor Robert Foster officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail.
Bob will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
