"My flesh and my heart failest; but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever."
Psalms 7:26

Ronald Lee Schiffbauer , 69, passed away in Houston, Texas on May 15th, 2006. He was born on August 21st, 1936 in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Ron was a man who was hard to understand. Most of the time he was a quiet-spoken man. He didn't complain about being sick. His doctor told him once that he was a difficult man to figure out because he was a man of so few words. To people outside of his family Ron probably seemed hard and mean. At times it seemed like no one could please him even though everyone would try to do their best. However, it was just his way to get others to do better. Ron was proud of his children and grandchildren and loved his whole family. He wanted the best for his family and gave them his all. Ron held on to life for more years than his doctors thought was possible because he wanted to be with his family. Robert told his father one day to "Keep on trucking". So we say now, "Keep on trucking Pappaw, we know you did your best."

Ron is survived by his wife of 17 years Jo Ann Schiffbauer; 3 sons: David Schiffbauer, Ronald Hanna, and Robert Hayes; 7 daughters: Donna Gimnick, Karen Emmons, Tina Pollar, Ronda Ramey, Suzanne Garcia, Bobbie Martinez, and Molissa Barbosa; 27 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 22nd, 2006, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 PM with a Service at 6:00 P.M. at Aldine Funeral Chapel.

Ron will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

"Until the sky draws back its curtains and pins them with a star;
we'll remember you Pappaw, wherever you are!"
