William Lewis Barton

William Lewis Barton, age 71, went to be with the Lord February 1st, 2006. He was born February 10th, 1934 in Houston, Texas. He served in the United States Navy in Korea from July, 1952 to July, 1956. He was preceded in death by his mother Bertie Barton, father Jud Barton and brother Jud J.C. Barton, Jr. and is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shirlea Barton; daughters Barbara Paduh and husband John of Algoa, Texas, and Cindy Martin and husband Michael of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren Lacey Paduh, John Paduh, Cody Martin, and Sarah Rice; nieces and nephews Lynne Watterson and family of Little Rock, AR, Judy Glavosek of Deer Park, Texas and Steve Barton of Deer Park, Texas; brother-in-law Paul Hays and wife Joyce of Little Rock, AR; uncle James Barton and wife Vannie of Houston, Texas; cousin Herschel Morrison and wife Jeri of Sugar Land, Texas; friends Lou and Sandra Seamans of Pasadena, Texas, Chad & Jean Hall of Santa Fe, Texas, and many other family members and friends that loved him dearly. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, February 3rd, 2006, at 10:15 A.M. in the VA Chapel at the Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail. The constant joy and laughter he shared with everyone who knew him will truly be missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff in the Cancer Care Unit at Bayshore Medical Center for all of their special care and love they gave him and the entire family during his stay.
