Jaime Armando Perez, 40, passed away on Wednesday, June 27th, 2007 in Houston, Texas. Jaime was born in Paw Paw, Michigan on July 17th, 1966 to Armando Cruz Perez and Petra Alaniz Perez.
Jaime was a 1984 graduate of Mac Arthur High School. He was an avid reader and also loved watching a good action movie. He enjoyed cooking and, other than Grandmother Juana, he made the best flat bread (pan salado) in town. During this past year he took a trip on the Texas Express (non-stop drive from Texas to North Carolina). He adventured to try a paintball expedition with his second cousins. Experienced his first deep sea fishing trip without getting sick. He watched the Houston Astros lose sadly to the Pittsburg Pirates with his aunt, uncle and cousins.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Grandmother Juana Arriaga, and Uncle Joe Nieves Arriaga. Surviving family members include Aunt Mary G. Barela and husband Joe. Cousins Joe Barela Jr. and wife Melissa, Jessica Dowland, Jared Barela and wife Teresa, Jennifer Garcia and husband Henry, and Francis Hernandez. Second cousins Cameron Barela, Tyler Barela, Zackary Dowland, Zoya Dowland, Zephaniah Dowland, Jesse Barela, and Ariana Barela. Grand Uncle Nieves Arriaga and Family. Special Friends Carlos and Delores (Lola) Zepeda and Family, Alejandrina Garcia and Family, Maria Vasquez and Family, and Alex and Amelia Hernandez and Family, as well as many other Perez Family members and friends.
An Interment Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 5th, 2007, in the Mausoleum at Brookside Memorial Park located at 13401 Eastex Freeway (US 59 at Lauder Road), Houston, Texas, phone 281-449-6511. Jaime was a very good-hearted person, he will be truly missed by his surviving family.
