James Roy Littleton, 83, born in Vanderbilt, TX on February 24, 1923, went home to be with his heavenly Lord on February 1, 2007. He was a gracious and loving servant of God in all aspects of his life. He is survived by his grandson James Roy Brickhouse and family of Houston, his niece Darlene Raedeke and family of Pasadena, TX, brother Henry Littleton and family of Nederland, TX, Jack Foster of Houston, and many beloved friends.

Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he went to work for Gulf Oil where he remained until retiring after 40 years. Jim received his B.A. in business at the Bauer School of Business at the University of Houston in 1955. He was a faithful and active member of First United Methodist Church of Houston up until he was called home to his eternal resting place.

Graveside Services with Reverend Michelle Hall officiating were held at 1:15 P.M. on Monday, February 5th, 2007, at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jim's life was held on February 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Houston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated for either the Wesley Academy or Music Ministry at First United Methodist Church of Houston at 1320 Main Street, Houston, TX, 77002.

Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
