Steve 'Bubba' Marion Marino, 82, passed away at home in Houston, Texas on Thursday, September 27th, 2007. He was born on June 7th, 1925 in Houston, Texas to Thelma Jetto and Sam Marino. Bubba served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and received an Honorable Discharge for his service on January 16th, 1946. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mamie Marino; 2 children: David Marino & wife LouAnn and Dianne DiMiceli & husband Tom; 6 grandchildren: Kevin Marino & wife Dee, Andrea Jones & husband Brett, Rachel Matas & husband Aaron, Amy Ebarb & husband Rex, Linsay DiMiceli, and Nick DiMiceli; sister Lena Mae Bilski; nephew Chris; 2 nieces: Barbara Tucker & husband Dewey and Beverly Boatman & husband Charlie; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services with Chaplain Jim Barclift officiating were held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007, at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail with Bugler Scott Bartholomew. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bubba's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Texas Gulf Coast Chapter by sending a check or money order to 50 Briar Hollow Lane, Suite 310W, Houston, Texas 77027 or by calling (713) 621-0006.
