William "Bill" F. Fleming, Jr., 85, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 27th, 2007, in Shenandoah, Texas. He was born on February 24th, 1922 in Purcell, Oklahoma to William F. Fleming, Sr. and Dovie Bee Lewallen. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and received an Honorable Discharge in 1942. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and received another Honorable Discharge in 1956.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Patty of 60 years and three daughters, Mary and husband Dr. Michael Cryer; Becky and husband Steve Johnson; Pam and husband Michael Rimar. Grandchildren: Ben and wife Lizzy Cryer; Greg and wife Michelle Cryer and Tim and wife Amy Cryer; Ethan and Jesse Johnson. Great grandchildren: Mikylah, Isaac and Joshua Cryer. Sisters: June Howard and Dovie Jean Fabor. Bill loved God’s word and was active in his church. He was an avid golfer, had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Funeral Services with Military Honors were held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 30th, 2007, in the VA Chapel at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Building Fund at Village Baptist Church, 380 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715, phone (479) 855-7775.

Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
