Achilleus "Al" Mathews Zappas, 65, passed away on Monday, April 7th, 2008 in Conroe, Texas. He was born on December 26th, 1942 in Grantsville, West Virginia to America George Paraskos and Theodore Mathews Zappas. Al served in the U.S. Army as an Air Bourne Ranger in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge for his service on October 31st, 1963. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Military Honor Services with V.F.W.
