Bennet Jay Pittman, 72, passed away on Sunday, April 27th, 2008. He was born on May 28th, 1935 in Comanche, Texas. Bennet loved his family, sports, animals, and especially music. He was preceded in death by his parents Galveston & Lisa Beth Pittman; brother Clark Pittman; and sister Robbie Lee Jones. Bennet is survived by 4 children: Janet McKenzie, Charlotte Patterson & husband Andy, Phyllis Rousey & husband Rex, and Roger Pittman; the mother of his children Margaret McDonald & husband Russell; 3 sisters: Faye Loftin & husband Jerry, Margaret Sheeks, and Geneva Paulson; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives & friends. Memorial Services with Rev. Andrew Simcak officiating were held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, May 9th, 2008, at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail. Bennet will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
