Mildred Cornelia Wilson, 85, passed away in Houston, Texas on Monday, January 28th, 2008. She was born on December 10th, 1922 in Wisner, Louisiana to Iola Randall and Edgar Franklin Harrell. Mildred served as a nurse for over 20 years in the medical field and retired in 1984 from the Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, Texas. She loved to garden, her children and dogs and was kind, helpful and good-hearted to everyone that she met.

Mildred was preceded in death by both parents; daughter Nancy Marie Hall; 3 brothers: James A Harrell, Chester Harrell, and Frank Cooper; and 2 sisters: Sarah Julia Williams and Susan Harrell. She is survived by 3 children: Elaine Tyner & husband Terry, Harold E. Wilson, and Mary Villarreal & husband Hector; 3 brothers: Ed Harrell & wife Josie, Abe Harrell & wife Barbara, and Julius "Buddy" Harrell & wife Charlene; sister Dr. Doris Tidwell & husband Don; 8 grandchildren: Michael Tyner & wife Kymber, David Tyner & wife Mindy, Larry Hall & wife Kathy, Laura Green & husband Jason, Lisa Hall & fiancé Joe, Hector R. Villarreal, Jr., Christopher Villarreal, and Miles Villarreal; 6 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Tyler, Morgan, Jamie, McKenzie, and Ava; her beloved dog "Roxie"; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service with Pastor Larry Burkhalter from Hearne, Texas officiating was held at 12:00 P.M.on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008, at Aldine Funeral Chapel located at 9504 Airline Drive in Houston, Texas. The casket was open and the family received visitors beginning at 11:00 A.M. before the service began. Mildred was laid to rest at Brookside Memorial Park located at 13401 Eastex Freeway in Houston, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mildred's memory to her church by sending a check or money order to Rittenhouse Baptist Church at 513 West Rittenhouse Road, Houston, Texas 77091.

Mildred will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

for her loving care and companionship to Mildred during the past year.
