Navada was known by her friends everywhere as 'V-Funk'.

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done. I'd like to leave an echo of whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun, Of happy memories that I leave behind -- When day is done.

Navada Marie Fernandes, 23, gained wings in Houston, Texas on Thursday, January 31st, 2008. She was born on February 21st, 1984 in Georgetown, Guyana. Navada studied in Toronto, Canada for 3 years and attained a degree in Interior Designing. She lit up any room she entered and made friends very easily with her warm smile. Navada left an eternal impression in anyone’s heart who met her even if it was just for 2 minutes and was loved by all.

Navada’s shining down from Heaven and guiding her Mom Denise Fernandes; Dad Mark Fernandes; Sister Arianna Fernandes; Brother Mark Fernandes Jnr., Brother-in-Law Ryan Pereira, Fiancé Anand Moonasar and his family through this dark tunnel. She will be remembered forever by her close friends and many family members too numerous to list.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008, at Aldine Funeral Chapel, 9504 Airline Drive, Houston, Texas, 77037-2208, phone 281-591-6055. Following the service, Navada was cremated and then taken home to Guyana.
