Oba McCreight, 78, passed away on Friday, April 25th, 2008, in Houston, Texas. He was born on February 5th, 1930 in Maydelle, Texas to Mollie Beauchamp and Samuel H. McCreight. Oba served in Company A, 143d Infantry Regiment of the National Guard during the Korean War and received an Honorable Discharge for his service in 1952. Oba was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Mavis McCreight; son James McCreight; and both parents. He is survived by 2 daughters: Tammy McCreight and Kathy McCreight; 3 grandchildren: Alissa McCreight, Kaylee McCreight, and Jamie McCreight; as well as many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services for are pending. Oba will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
