Paul was a resident of Humble, Texas for the past 27 years. He was born in Mount Vernon, South Dakota, but spent much of his youth in Gibson City, Illinois. Paul graduated with a Chemical Engineering Degree and was an All-American football player at the University of Missouri. He later earned his MBA from Xavier University. He was a very successful entrepreneur and owned several businesses prior to his early retirement.
Paul is survived by his children, grandchildren and many close relatives and friends: Daughter, Heather Chilivetis and husband Steve, Daughter, Catherine Jones, husband Jim and their children, Laina and Mason, Son, Bill Garvis, wife Betsy and their children, Will, Sam and Ben Sister Joanne, and brothers, David, Merle and Frank
Paul will be joining his wife Lorelei posthumously, and son Paul Garvis, Jr.
A Memorial Service was held at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2008 St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church located at 527 South Houston Avenue in Humble, Texas 77338, phone 281-446-8211.
