William Charles (Charlie) Mills, 77, passed away unexpectedly at his Pasadena residence on January 30th, 2008 while taking a nap. A happily transplanted Texan, Charlie was born in Flint, Michigan to Clarence J. and Minnie D. Mills. Charlie earned a M.S. in Ch.E. from UT Austin in 1954. His professional career was in plastic manufacture. He was a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. He is survived by his devoted wife Luanne Carl Mills; cousins Iva Dell Fields & family, Austin, and Charles Lucas & family, Bastrop; sister-in-law Waynda Pyburn, Arlington; niece Dr. Karen Anne Pyburn-Wilk & family (Bloomington, Belize, London); and foster son Charles Dean Mays, Lewisville. A Memorial Service is pending. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HouCom (Christian Science Broadcasts), P.O. Box 4686, Pasadena, TX 77502, or in Charlie's name to a charity of your choice. Charlie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
