Billy Frank Smith, 72, passed away on Monday, August 17th, 2009, in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on September 8th, 1936 in Huntsville, Texas to Rosa Rena Clifford and Mannie Thomas Smith.
Bill graduated from Huntsville High School and retired from the Texas Highway Department after working there for 35 years. He enjoyed woodworking and attended Faith Assembly of God Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Mannie Thomas Smith; mother Rosa Rena Clifford Smith; his son Bret Andrew Smith; sister Margie Katherine Powell. He is survived by his son Timothy Kevin Smith and wife Michele of Sugarland, Texas; grandson Dillon M. Smith of Sugarland, Texas; two brothers: Danny Ray Smith and wife Susanne of Waco, Texas and Donny Dean Smith and wife Knoethia of Seabrook, Texas; two sisters: Rena Margaret Edge and husband George of Sheridan, Texas and Bonny Jean Smith of Sherman, Texas; loving companion Gay Smith of Pasadena, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John McDuff officiating, on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Faith Assembly of God located at 3940 Vista, Pasadena, Texas 77504, phone 713-944-7755.
Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
