David Thomas Crenshaw, 76, passed away at home in Spring, Texas on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009. He was born on December 22nd, 1932 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Mary Lee Dontzler and George Crenshaw. Dave served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge for his service.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lee White and his father George Crenshaw both of Blytheville, Arkansas. Aunts; Caroline Cotton Harge of Macon, Mississippi, Mandy Dargan, Annie Lee Albright and Daisy Crenshaw. Uncles; Cecil Crenshaw and W.T. Crenshaw.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Mrs. Renee M. (Thomas) & Gary R. Woods who currently reside in Tokyo, Japan. He is also survived by three brothers; George D. Crenshaw - Phoenix, Arizona, Gregory J. Crenshaw and Stewart L. Crenshaw – Salt Lake City, Utah, two sisters; Yvonne & Rev. Robert Johnson- Romeoville, Illinois and Dardanella (Dottie) Crenshaw - Charlotte, North Carolina, and his first cousins Solomon & Dorothy Harge both of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The family would like to acknowledge, honor and thank Dave’s extended family and friends of Spring, TX. for the nearly 35 years they have embraced, loved and comforted him; Jerry & Marianne McBeth, Mick & Vickey Mickeunski, Salvador & Maria Galindo and Howard & Mona Wilson. Your deeds of kindness will always be cherished. It is with our most sincere wishes that we thank you for the abundance of love you have shown our father, brother, uncle and cousin that we thank you from the bottom of our heart.

Memorial Services with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating were held at 10:00 A.M. at Pernell Jones & Sons Funeral Home located at 7120 Cedar Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103, phone (216) 431-9205. Committal Rites with Military Honors were held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1st, 2009, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, P.O. Box 8, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio 44270, phone 330-335-3069.

Dave will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
