Henry Eugene "Jim" Price, 79, passed away on Monday, October 12th, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He was born on June 14th, 1930 in Palatka, Florida to Lula Mae Hires and Charles Henry Price, Jr.

Gene served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge for his service in 1953. He was a carpenter by trade and a skilled craftsman. Gene enjoyed watching both war movies and westerns, as well as listening to country music. He also loved to read his Bible.

Gene was preceded in death by son Rocky Price; both parents; 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife Josephine of 40 years; son Mark Price & wife Christina; 5 daughters: Sandra Reyes & husband Randy, Patricia Price, Elizabeth Green, Janet Willis, and Cynthia Allen; brother Winston; 2 sisters: Lettie Mae and Lola Ann; 12 grandchildren (who loved their "Buddy" and the doughnuts he always brought them); numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 15th, 2008, at Aldine Funeral Chapel located at 9504 Airline Drive in Houston, Texas. Military Honor Services were held at 9:30 A.M. On Friday, October 16th, 2009, at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail.

Gene will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
