Victor Manuel Jara
November 4th, 1940 - July 29th, 2009

Victor Manuel Jara, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 29th, 2009, in Katy, Texas. He was born on November 4th, 1940 in Costa Rica to Rosita Marin and Victor Manuel Jara, Sr.

Victor lived to honor and glorify God. His favorite verse was 1 Peter 5:6 --

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God.

Victor was also an exceptional husband and father, a spiritual instructor and most importantly a servant of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He was a diligent student of the Word of God and diligent to share the WORD.

Victor is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Anna P. Jara, Maria E. Dabbs (maiden Jara), Erick Jara, and Victor Hugo Jara; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services with Pastor Rick Shrader officiating were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 1st, 2009, at Tri-County Baptist Church located at 5715 Peek Road (between Clay Road and F.M. 529 north of I-10), Katy, Texas 77449, phone 281-371-3900. The casket was open immediately before the service at the church for those desiring to pay their last respects.

Committal Rites and interment were immediately following the service at Katy Magnolia Cemetery located on Franz Road (at Bartlett Street) in Katy, Texas, phone number 281-391-2266. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tri-County Baptist Church in Victor's name.

Victor will be missed by all who knew and loved him
