Victoria Real passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2009 at 81 years old in Houston, Texas. She was born in Northwood, North Dakota on September 26th, 1927 to Herman and Sophia Sponheim. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert Real, her brother, Herman Sponheim and her sister, Doris Libhart.
She was one of five children and is survived by her sisters Anna Paine of Houston, TX and Margaret Barnard of Baltimore, MD; sister- in-laws Josephine Gorney and Virginia Chambers; step-daughters, Caren Menas and Carole Mychaels; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Victoria worked at Glendale Federal Savings & Loan in California as
one of their first female loan officers until she retired. She enjoyed
reading, traveling, and was a cat lover. She cherished spending time
with her family who loved her dearly.
