E.F. Roberson, 79 passed away on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005, in Humble, Texas. He was born on November 28th, 1925 in Tallassee, Alabama to Era & Chalmer Roberson. E.F. served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge in 1952. E.F. was a journeyman machinist and a long-time owner/operator in the trucking business. He even drove until he was 76 years old. E.F. loved Snickers, Peanut Clusters, Momma's fried pies & her good home cooking. He told us once that he was a simple man with simple ideas -- "Do right, be fair, do it right the first time, don't lie, and love your people hard & fast." When asked if he would do anything different in life, he thought a while and said, "Naw. I'd do it all over again the same way. I've had a good life with your Momma and you kids." A good father and husband, E.F. is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geraldine Roberson of Splendora, Texas; children: James Roberson of Splendora, Texas, Susan Parker & husband Butch of Houston, Texas; and Debora Jamrok & husband Bill of Houston, Texas; brother James Bowles & wife Mary Edna of Alabama; sister Virginia Bentley & husband Joe of Alabama; grandchildren: Laura Beth Parker, Eric Parker, Amanda Jamrok, and Ashleigh Jamrok, all of Houston, Texas; as well as many other relatives & friends.
