Elizabeth was born in Picher, Oklahoma in 1960. She and her family lived in the Picher/Miami area until she was about 7 years old. Over the next two years the family lived in cities in Oklahoma and California until they settled in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1969.
At the age of 15 she traveled with her mother on the New Freedom Evangelistic Team for 4 months. She returned to Ft. Worth, took a job with Justin Boots, and lived with her sister.
Buffi was married in 1980, and became the mother of a baby daughter in 1983. She was divorced in 1986, and remarried in late 1987.
Buffi is survived by her husband Paul Rosier of Springtown, Texas, daughter Shelly, fiancé Jason Ginther, and grandchild Ainsley of Springtown, Texas, mother Reverend Jeanne Leggett and sister Barbara Shumate of Huntsville, Texas, nephew Shawn Leggett of Syracuse, New York, niece Jeanne Chairez and fiancé Will Schram of Arlington, Texas, uncle Joe Poor and wife Linda of Fayetteville, North Carolina, other family members Melodye Nelson and Debra Jones of Huntsville, Texas, cousin Fred Poor and wife Karen of Santa Fe, Texas, and numerous other great aunts and cousins in Oklahoma.
Memorial Services were held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 21st, 2005, at Aldine Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requrests that donations be made to the Shriner's at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Houston, 6977 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77030, phone number 713-797-1616.
