Gilbert "Gilly" Maya,
25, passed away in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, August 24th, 2005.
He was born on June 21st, 1980 in Houston, Texas to Maria Avilez & Lorenzo Maya.
Gilly was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Prudencia de la Cruz,
maternal grandfather Francisco Avilez, uncles Cilidonio Maya & Urbano Maya,
nephew Angel Murillo, Jr., and cousin Juan Avilez.
He is survived by his daughter Mariza Rena Maya; father Lorenzo Maya; mother
Maria E. Avilez; brothers Jose J. Maya & Robert Maya; sisters Rosa Rendon,
Jessica Mora, Sandra Sanchez, and Marilyn Murillo; paternal grandfather
Emunda Maya; paternal grandmother Juventino Maya; as well as many other
relatives & friends.
Friends and relatives were able to pay their last respects beginning at 1:00 P.M.
on Tuesday, August 30th, 2005, folowed by a Funeral Mass that began at 3:00 P.M.
with Father Raphael Villareal officiating at
St.
Matthew's Cathedral located at 9101 Airline Drive in Houston, Texas.
Interment with Commital Rites was at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 31st,
2005, with Father Joe Eisenberg officiating at
Hollywood Cemetery located
at 3506 North Main Street in Houston, Texas.
Gilly will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
