Grace Mendoza Gomez,
75, passed away in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, July 5th, 2005.
She was born on April 16th, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Leona Frances Barrera and Herculano Bustamente Mendoza.
A longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Grace is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul C. Gomez, Sr.; 2 sons: Paul C. Gomez, Jr. and John Gomez & wife Ruby; 3 step-children: Flora Reyes, Esther Herrera & husband Carlos, and David Gomez & wife Janie; 5 sisters: Julia Palmeros & husband Carlos, Theresa Zepeda & husband Rudolph, Stella Rodriguez & husband Ramiro, Anita Gonzalez & husband Eddie J., and Frances Sanchez & husband Raymond; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 15 nieces & nephews; 5 grand-nieces & grand-nephews; numerous god-children; as well as many other relatives & friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 10th, 2005, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 2:00 P.M. at Aldine Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 11th, 2005, in the VA Chapel at the Houston National Cemetery with Monsignor Patrick Wells officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral expenses.
Grace will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
