Herbert Lynn Hicks, Jr.,
74, passed away in Houston, Texas on Thursday, November 10th, 2005.
He was born on May 21st, 1931 in Conroe, Texas to Herbert Lynn Hicks, Sr. and Ada Iola King.
Lynn served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge on December 10th, 1951.
He was awarded a Purple Heart for his valiant service.
Lynn was preceded in death by both parents; son Herbert Lynn Hicks, III; daughter Martha N. Hicks; and brother J.W. Hicks.
He is survived by his son Jerry Lynn Hicks; his son's mother Tami Manning; and many other relatives and friends.
A Military Honor Memorial Service was held on Monday, November 14th, 2005, at 2:15 P.M. at the
Houston National Cemetery with the V.F.W.
District #4 Ceremonial Detail Honor Guard officiating and rendering Military Honors.
